Womic D

Womic D (Ossein Mineral Complex + Vitamin D) tablets contain the organic matrix (Ossein) and the mineral components (Hydroxyapatite) of bone tissue in physiological proportions, along with Vitamin D.

Package Contains: Each pack of Womic D contains 830mg/400Iu, 30 tablets & a leaflet. It is also available in suspensions.

Calcium 177.6mg

Phosphorus 82.2mg

Residual Mineral Salts 24.9mg

Collagen 224mg

Other Proteins 66.4mg

Trace Elements F, Mg, Fe, Zn, Cu, Ni, corresponding to

Hydroxyapatite Approx 440mg.

Dosage: As directed by the physician or see package insert for full prescribing information.

Indications/ Uses: Womic-D is indicated for the prevention or treatment of the following conditions:

  • Poor bone & teeth development.
  • Rickets.
  • Osteoporosis.
  • Osteomalacia.
  • Bone pain.
  • Increased bone fragility.
  • Hypocalcemia.
  • Increased mineral requirements during pregnancy, lactation & growth.
  • Prophylaxis against dental caries.
  • As an adjuvant in fractures with delayed callus formation.

Side Effects: It is very well tolerated, even when taken over a prolonged period. But sometimes it may cause some common issues as:

  • Stomach upset or discomfort.
  • Nausea.
  • Constipation.
  • Gas or bloating.
  • Indigestion.

Warnings & Precautions:

  • High blood calcium levels (hypercalcemia).
  • Vitamin D toxicity.
  • Severe kidney disease.
  • History of kidney stones.
  • Hyperparathyroidism.
  • Known allergy to any component of the tablet.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding:

  • Generally safe only at recommended doses.
  • Avoid high doses unless prescribed by a doctor.

Interactions & Overdose: Colestyramine, Anti-seizure drugs, Antacids, Digoxin, Rifampin, Thiazides, Orlistat, Corticosteroids. No overdose has been reported. Womic D back

Instructions:

Store below 30°C (Excursions permitted between 15°C and 25°C).

Protect from sunlight & moisture.
