OVRET-N (Norethisterone) B.P is 5 mg, 30 Tablets. It is used to treat various gynecological conditions by acting as a synthetic form of the hormone progesterone.

Package Contains: Each pack of Ovret-N contains 30 tablets of 5mg and a leaflet.

Composition: OVRET-N

Each tablet contains:

Norethisterone (BP) 5mg.

Dosage: As directed by the physician or see package insert for full prescribing information.

Uses: OVRET-N 5 mg is commonly prescribed for:

  • Irregular menstrual cycles.
  • Heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia).
  • Painful periods (dysmenorrhea).
  • Secondary amenorrhea (absence of periods).
  • Endometriosis.
  • Premenstrual syndrome (PMS).
  • To delay menstruation (period postponement), under medical advice.
  • Hormonal imbalance–related bleeding.

Side Effects: Like all medicines, this medicine can cause some side effects, which are:

  • Nausea or vomiting.
  • Headache.
  • Breast tenderness or pain.
  • Bloating or weight gain.
  • Mood changes or irritability.
  • Dizzines.
  • Acne.
  • Spotting or breakthrough bleeding.

Warnings & Precautions: OVRET-N back

  • Pregnancy or suspected pregnancy.
  • History of blood clots (DVT, pulmonary embolism).
  • Severe liver disease.
  • Breast or genital cancer.
  • Unexplained vaginal bleeding.
  • Known allergy to norethisterone.
  • Contraindicated in pregnancy.
  • Breastfeeding: Use only if clearly prescribed by a doctor.

Instructions: Store at 25°C (Excursions permitted between 15°C to 30°C).

Protect from sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
