Mornig (Doxylamine Succinate USP 10mg + Pyridoxine HCI USP 10mg) 30 Tablets. The tablets are commonly used to treat nausea and vomiting.

Indications: Mornig tablets are indicated for the treatment of pregnancy-associated nausea and vomiting. Morning enteric-coated formula and dosing schedule provide 24-hour control of symptoms of nausea and vomiting.

Dosage & Administration: As prescribed by the physician or:

For Adults: By Mouth: Two delayed-release tablets (a total of Doxylamine 20mg and pyridoxine 20mg) at bedtime; in severe cases with nausea/vomiting during the day, dosage may be increased by 1 tablet in the morning and/or afternoon.

Hepatic Insufficiency: No data is available on differences in the pharmacokinetics of either Doxylamine Succinate or pyridoxine hydrochloride in patients with hepatic insufficiency.

Renal Insufficiency: No data is available on differences in the pharmacokinetics of Doxylamine Succinate in renal insufficiency. For Vitamin B6. some metabolites are excreted renally. There is no data to suggest that this should alter the current dosage recommendation of the product.

Warnings & Precautions:

General: It may cause somnolence. Caution must be exercised in activities requiring mental alertness such as driving a car or operating heavy machinery. Until you know how you will react to this medication, do not drive or operate machinery.

Pregnancy & Lactation: It may pass into breast milk and unusual excitement, irritability or sedation (sleepiness) may occur in the infant. Nursing mothers treated with DOXYLAMINE Succinate + Vitamin B6 combination should not breastfeed, or the use of it during lactation should be avoided.

Overdosage: Doxylamine succinate/Vit. B6 is an enteric-coated formulation; therefore, signs and symptoms of intoxication may not be apparent immediately. Signs and symptoms of intoxication may include restlessness, dryness of mouth, dilated pupils, sleepiness, vertigo, mental confusion, and tachycardia.

At toxic doses, doxylamine exhibits anticholinergic effects, including seizures, rhabdomyolysis and death. If treatment is needed, it consists of gastric lavage or activated charcoal, whole bowel irrigation and symptomatic treatment.
