Maxfol (L-Methylfolate) 30 tablets of 600mcg are an active form of folic acid. It is used to treat or prevent low folate levels, support cardiovascular health, support fertility, improve oral hygiene, and support pregnancy.

Uses/ Indications: Maxfol tablets are for the specific dietary management of impaired metabolic processes in those individuals with distinct nutritional requirements for any of the following conditions:
- Pregnancy.
- To prevent neural tube defects.
- High risk of recurrent pregnancy loss.
- Supports fertility.
- For cardiovascular support.
- In megaloblastic anemia.
- As an adjunct therapy with methotrexate.
- Improves cognition.
- Improves oral hygiene.
Side Effects: While allergic sensitization has been reported following both oral and parenteral administration of folic acid, allergic sensitization has not been reported with the use of L-methylfolate.
Precautions: Folates, when administered as a single agent in doses above 0.1 mg daily, may obscure pernicious anemia in that hematologic remission can occur while neurological manifestations remain progressive.
Contraindications: Known hypersensitivity to any of the components in the product is a contraindication.
