Mac-Fenid

Mac-Fenid (Pirfenidone) tablet is used to treat IPF. IPF causes scar tissue to form deep within your lungs. It decreases lung functions. This medicine is not a cure for IPF, but pirfenidone may slow the progress of this disease.

Uses: It is used to treat a lung disease called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).

Package Contains: It contains 30 film-coated tablets of 267mg. Mac-Fenid

Each film coated tablet contains:

Pirfenidone 267 mg

Dosage: As directed by a registered medical practitioner.

Precautions: Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: liver disease, kidney disease (such as dialysis).

It is unknown if this medication passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding. During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.

Side effects: Common side effects may include: Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach pain, heartburn, upset stomach, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, tired feeling, weight loss, cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat, joint pain & sleep problems (insomnia).

Instructions: Mac-Fenid-back

Store at 25°C (Excursions permitted between 15°C -30°C).

Protect from light, heat, and moisture.

Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
