LevoMelt (Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride) by SJG is an anti-allergic 5 mg, 10 tablets. It is used to relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, watery/itchy eyes, and itching or hives (urticaria).

Package Contains: Each LevoMelt package contains a 5mg of 10 tablets & a leaflet. It is also available as a 2.5mg/5ml syrup.

Composition: Each melt tablet contains:

Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride 5 mg.

The product complies with U.S.P specifications.

Dosage: 1 tablet daily or as directed by a physician.

Indications & Usage:

Allergic Rhinitis: LevoMelt is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial) in adults and children 6 years of age and older.
Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria: LevoMelt is indicated for the treatment of the uncomplicated skin manifestations of chronic idiopathic urticaria in adults and children 6 years of age and older.

Dosage & Administration: LevoMelt is available as 2.5 mg/5 mL (0.5 mg/mL) syrup and 5 mg melt tablets, it can be taken without regard to food consumption.

Adults and Children 12 Years of Age and Older: The recommended dose of LevoMelt is 5 mg (1 tablet or 2 teaspoons (10 L) Syrup) once daily in the evening.
Children 6 to 11 Years of Age: The recommended dose of LevoMelt is 2.5 mg (1/2 tablet or 1 teaspoon (5 ml) syrup) once daily in the evening.
Children 6 months-Under 6 years: Half teaspoon (2.5ml) once daily.
In pediatric patients suffering from renal impairment, the dose will have to be adjusted on an individual basis taking into account the renal clearance of the patient, his age and his body weight.
Patients with hepatic impairment: No dose adjustment is needed in patients with solely hepatic impairment.
Patients with hepatic impairment and renal impairment: Dose adjustment is recommended.

Contraindications: The use of the medicine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to levocetirizine or any of the ingredients of LevoMelt, or to cetirizine. Observed reactions range from urticaria to anaphylaxis.

Adverse Reactions: Use of LevoMelt has been associated with somnolence, fatigue, and asthenia.

Storage: Store between 15°C- 30°C.

Keep away from heat, moisture, light and children.
