Each modified released tablet contains:

Gliclazide 60mg.

Dosage & Administration:

Use as directed by physician. For details see the enclosed leaflet.

Therapeutic indications: Type 2 diabetes in adults when dietary measures, physical exercise, and weight loss alone are not significant to controlling blood glucose.

Contraindications:

  • Known hypersensitive to Gliclazide or to any of the excipients, other sulphonylureas, sulphonamides.
  • Type 1 diabetes.
  • Diabetic pre-coma, diabetic ketoacidosis.
  • Severe renal or hepatic insufficiency: in these cases, the use of insulin is recommended.
  • Lactation.

Side effects: There are some common adverse reactions are fever, headache, diarrhea, and nausea.

Special Warnings & precautions for use: Careful selection of patients, the dose used, and clear patient directions are necessary to reduce the risk of hypoglycemic episodes.
