FIFEX (Fexofenadine HCl, U.S.P.) by SHAIGAN is a 1×10 pack of 60mg. It is used to relieve seasonal allergy symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and itchy, watery eyes, etc.

Package Contains: Each FIFEX package contains 10 tablets of 60mg & a leaflet. It is also available in 120mg and 180mg dosage as well. FIFEX

Each Film Coated Tablet Contains:

Fexofenadine HCl, U.S.P. 60 mg.

Dosage: See package insert for full prescribing information or as directed by a registered doctor.

Dosage & Administration:  The recommended dose for adults and children 12 years of age and older: FIFEX 60 mg Tablets: Twice daily.

Renal Impairment: A starting dose of 60 mg once daily is recommended for patients with decreased renal function.

Uses/ Indications: It is used for

  • Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis: For relief of symptoms (sneezing, rhinorrhea, itchy nose/palate/throat, itchy/watery/red eyes) in adults and children 12 years of age and older.
  • Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria: For treatment of symptoms in adults and children 12 years of age and older, significantly reducing pruritus (itching) and the number of wheals.

Contraindications: Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients.

Pregnancy & Nursing Mothers

Pregnancy: There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Fexofenadine should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.

Nursing Mothers: Caution should be exercised when Fexofenadine Hydrochloride is administered to a nursing woman, as many drugs are excreted in human milk.

Side Effects: In placebo-controlled seasonal allergic rhinitis clinical trials in patients 12 years of age and older, the following adverse events were reported at rates of greater than 1%:

  • Viral Infection (cold, flu): 5%
  • Nausea: 5%
  • Dysmenorrhea: 5%
  • Drowsiness: 3%
  • Dyspepsia: 3%
  • Fatigue: 3%
