Mucaine
Mucaine (Oxethazaine with aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide) suspension is used for the rapid relief of gastric pain and heartburn. The suspension is a unique combination of mucosal anaesthetic and antacid. It is commonly used for the diagnosis or treatment of Hiatal hernia, Stomach ulcer, inflammation of food pipe, inflammation of the stomach.
Packaging: The box contains a glass bottle with approximately 120ml of suspension. 
Composition:
Each 5ml contains:
Oxethazaine 10 mg
Aluminium Hydroxide USP 291 mg
Magnesium Hydroxide USP 98 mg
Aluminium hydroxide in this suspension is used to treat stomach upsets, ulcers or other digestive disorders. It may also be used to increase phosphate excretion when phosphate retention is associated with renal stones.
Usual Dosage:
One or two teaspoons 4 times daily, 15 minutes before meals and at bedtime.
It should preferably be taken undiluted; however, if desired, may be followed by a sip of water.
Or use it as prescribed by your doctor.
Cautions:
- To be used as directed by the physician.
- Do not exceed recommended dosage.
- Keep all the medicines out of the reach of the children.
- Shake well before use. Keep the bottle tightly closed.
- Store at below 30°C.
- Protect from direct heat, sunlight and moisture.

Some common side effects of Mucaine are:
- Constipation
