Desora (Desloratadine) Syrup of 60ml is marketed by Continental Pharmaceuticals.  It belongs to the category of Allergy and can be used for eczema, Hay fever, sneezing, etc.

Description: It is used to relieve allergy symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes/nose, sneezing, hives, and itching.

Dosage: As directed by the physician. Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next scheduled dose, then the missed dose can be skipped.

Uses:  DESORA syrup is commonly used for:

  • Seasonal allergic rhinitis.
  • Pruritis.
  • Perennial allergic rhinitis.
  • Rhinorrhea.
  • Hay fever.
  • Chronic idiopathic urticaria.
  • Itching and burning eyes.
  • Chronic hives.
  • Eczema.

Side Effects: Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur, they may need medical attention. Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur: Pharyngitis, Dry mouth, Myalgia, Fatigue, Somnolence, Dysmenorrhoea.

Contraindications: It is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to this medication or to any of its ingredients or to loratadine.

Warnings/Precautions: If your symptoms do not improve within a few days or if they become worse, check with your doctor. This medicine may cause some people to become drowsy, dizzy, or less alert than they are normally. Make sure you know how you react to this medicine before you drive, use machines, or do anything else that could be dangerous if you are dizzy or are not alert.

The drug should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Desloratadine passes into breast milk; therefore, a decision should be made whether to discontinue nursing or to discontinue the drug, taking into account the importance of the drug to the mother.
