Calamox Suspension

Calamox Suspension (Co-amoxiclav) 156.25 mg/5 mL by Bosch is an oral antibiotic suspension in the form of powder. It is Halal-certified and provides 90 mL of suspension after reconstitution. It is used to treat bacterial sinusitis, soft tissue infections, severe dental abscesses, etc.

Package Contains: Each Calamox package contains a Suspension bottle of 156.25/5ml & a leaflet.

Composition: When reconstituted as directed, each 5mL contains: Calamox Suspension
Amoxicillin Trihydrate eq. to 125mg Amoxicillin USP
Potassium Clavulanate BP eq. to 31.25mg Clavulanic acid

Uses: Calamox Suspension is indicated for the treatment of the following infections in adults and children:

  • Acute bacterial sinusitis (adequately diagnosed).
  • Acute otitis media.
  • Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis (adequately diagnosed).
  • Community-acquired pneumonia.
  • Cystitis.
  • Pyelonephritis.
  • Skin and soft tissue infections, in particular cellulitis, animal bites, and severe dental abscesses with spreading cellulitis.
  • Bone and joint infections, in particular osteomyelitis.

Side Effects: Like all medicines, Calamox may cause some side effects, such as:

  • Infections and infestations.
  • Immune system disorders.
  • Nervous system disorders.
  • Gastrointestinal disorders.
  • Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders.
  • Renal and urinary disorders.

Contraindications:

  • Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the penicillins.
  • History of a severe immediate hypersensitivity reaction (e.g. anaphylaxis) to another beta-lactam agent (e.g. a cephalosporin, carbapenem or monobactam).

Precautions: Once reconstituted the suspension must be stored in a refrigerator, do not freeze and use within 7 days.

  • Close the cap properly after use.
  • To be sold on the prescription of a registered medical practitioner only.

  • For oral use only.

Instruction: Do not take if seal is broken.
Before reconstitution, protect from heat, sunlight & moisture, store below 25°C.
The expiration date refers to the product correctly stored at the required conditions.
