ASKPROL

ASKPROL (Paracetamol USP) by Citi Pharma is a 30ml Infant Oral suspension of 120mg / 5ml. It is used to gently soothe pain and lower temperature.

Package Contains: Each Askprol package contains an oral suspension bottle of 30ml with 120mg/5ml strength & a leaflet.

Composition:

Each 5ml contains:

Paracetamol USP 120mg.

Dosage:

From 3 months to under 1 year.

1/2 to 1 teaspoonful (2.5-5ml)

1-6 years: 1 to 2 teaspoonfuls (5-10ml)

6-12 years: 2 to 4 teaspoonfuls (10-20ml).

Above 12 years: Use ASKPROL tablets.

Infants under 3 months not recommended.

Dosage & Administration: For oral use only. May be repeated up to 4 times a day with an interval of 4 hours or more between each dose.

Uses: For the treatment of mild to moderate pain and as antipyretic. For symptomatic relief of headache, migraine, neuralgia, toothache and teething pains, sore throat, rheumatic aches and pains, influenza, feverishness and feverish colds.

Contraindications: Askprol is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to paracetamol.

Precautions and warnings: Askprol should be used with caution in severe hepatic or renal dysfunction. Most reports of adverse reactions to paracetamol relate to overdosing with the drug.

Pregnancy & Lactation: The safe use of Askprol during pregnancy has not been established. There is epidemiological evidence of safety of paracetamol in human pregnancy.

Further information: The viscous consistency of Askprol paediatric Suspension helps to keep the medicine in the spoon and so makes it easier to administer. Paracetamol does not cause the gastrointestinal side-effects often seen after a standard dose of aspirin.

Side Effects: Askprol suspension (paracetamol) is generally well-tolerated at recommended doses. However, it can occasionally cause side effects like mild nausea, stomach upset, or constipation. Seek immediate medical help if you experience severe allergic reactions (swelling of the face/throat, rashes) or signs of liver damage (yellowing of eyes/skin).
