Antacid Digas is a suspension liquid sachet. It is an herbal medicine with a mint and fennel flavour. It is a ready-to-drink sachet, just open the sachet & drink /sip it. The sachets are used for hyperacidity and gastric reflux.

Package Contains: The Antacid package contains 25 sachets of 10ml each (25x10ml sachets). It is also available as a syrup.

Composition: Each 10ml contains Antacid

Calcium Carbonate BP 900.00 mg

Sodium Bicarbonate BP 200.00 mg.

Dosage & Administration: Shake the sachet well before use. Take one sachet at a time or as advised by your Healthcare professional.  The dosage can be taken after meals and at bedtime, or as advised by your healthcare professional.

Indications: Antacid is indicated for the treatment of hyperacidity and gastric reflux.

Hyperacidity refers to the excessive production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. This condition can lead to irritation of the stomach lining, resulting in symptoms like a burning sensation in the abdomen, bloating, nausea, and sour burping. Hyperacidity, Common triggers include spicy or fatty foods, irregular eating habits, stress, and certain medications.

Gastric reflux, also known as acid reflux or GERD, occurs when stomach acid flows back into the oesophagus due to a weakened lower oesophageal sphincter (LES). This backwards flow causes heartburn, a burning sensation in the chest along with regurgitation of food or sour liquid, and sometimes a chronic cough or sore throat.

The Antacid ingredient, Calcium carbonate, neutralises stomach acid, providing relief from heartburn, indigestion, and upset stomach. Its other ingredient, Sodium bicarbonate antacid, is used to relieve heartburn, sour stomach, or acid indigestion by neutralising excess stomach acid.

Caution: If symptoms persist/worsen, consult your pharmacist/doctor.

Side Effects: Generally, it is well tolerated. The ingredients may cause diarrhoea, flatulence, feeling sick or vomiting.

Precautions / Instructions: Do not use if the sachet is damaged. Keep out of reach of children. Protect from heat/light. Store at or below 30°C. Antacid back
