Zolt [Diloxanide Furoate, Metronidazole Benzoate] by Stanley is a 90 mL pan-amoebicide suspension. The Pan-Amoebicide Suspension is a medicine taken by mouth to treat amoebic intestinal infections, which can cause diarrhea, stomach pain, and other digestive problems. It contains two ingredients, diloxanide furoate and metronidazole benzoate, that work together to fight the amoeba causing the infection and help remove the remaining parasites from the intestine.
Package Contains: Each Zolt package contains a suspension (syrup) bottle of 90 mL.
Composition: Each 10 ml contains: 
Diloxanide Furoate (BP) 250mg
Metronidazole Benzoate (BP) eq. to
Metronidazole. 200mg

Dosage: Children:
1-5 years: 5ml (1 Teaspoonful)
Three times a day for 5 days.
5-12 years: 10ml (2 Teaspoonfuls)
Three times a day for 5 days.
Adults & Children: Over 12 years.
10ml-20ml (2-4 Teaspoonfuls)
Three times a day for 5 days.
In refractory cases, the treatment can be continued upto 10 days. If desired by the physician. To be sold on the prescription of registered medical practitioner only.
Indications /Uses: Zolt suspension is indicated for Acute amoebiasis, Chronic amoebiasis, Hepatic amoebiasis, and other systemic diseases due to E. histolytica Giardiasis. Diloxanide furoate and metronidazole benzoate are antiprotozoal medicines commonly used in the treatment of intestinal infections, particularly amoebiasis. Metronidazole acts against the parasite in infected tissues, while diloxanide furoate works mainly within the intestine to eliminate remaining parasites.
Warnings & Precautions:
- Zolt Suspension should be used only as prescribed by a healthcare professional. Follow the recommended dosage and complete the prescribed course. Do not exceed the recommended dose or use it without medical advice.
- Do not use Zolt if you are allergic to metronidazole, diloxanide furoate, or any of its ingredients. Inform your doctor if you have liver problems, a blood disorder, or a condition affecting the nervous system.
- Avoid alcohol during treatment and for at least 48 hours after completing it, as metronidazole may cause an unpleasant reaction when combined with alcohol.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medicine. Tell your healthcare professional about any other medicines you are taking to check for possible interactions.
Instructions: Store in a dry place between 15-30°C.
