Rubifer

Rubifer (Iron (III) Hydroxide Polymaltose Complex) syrup. This medicine is used to treat iron deficiency anemia (IDA).

Composition:

Each 5ml contains:

Iron (III) Hydroxide Polymaltose complex (AGP specs.) equivalent to elemental iron 50 mg.

Dosage and instructions:

Infants: (upto 1 year): 2.5– 5ml daily.

Children: (1 – 12 years old): 5– 10ml daily.

Children>12 years, Adults & Nursing women: 10– 30ml daily.

Pregnant women: 20– 30ml daily, or as directed by the Physician.

Do not store above 25°C. Protect from light, heat, and freezing moisture. Keep out of the reach of children. To be sold on the prescription of a registered medical practitioner only.

 

Usage: This medicine is used to prevent, control, and treat anemia during childhood, pregnancy, and lactation. It helps in the treatment of megaloblastic anemias which occurs due to the deficiency of folic acid.

Side effects: It may cause: nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea and abdominal pain. Some of the side effects are rare but serious. Consult your doctor if these side effects do not go away.
