Imipro

Imipro 10ml injection by Selmore contains Imidocarb Dipropionate 12% and is for veterinary (animal) use only. Imidocarb Dipropionate is commonly used for the prevention of babesiosis in animals like cattle, sheep, horses, and dogs.

Package Contains: Each pack of Imipro contains 10ml liquid injection in a glass vial inside.

Composition:  Imipro

Each ml contains

Imidocarb Dipropionate (MS) 120mg

Indications / Uses: Imipro Injection is indicated in the treatment and prevention of babesiosis in cattle, sheep, horses, and dogs, It is also indicated for the treatment of anaplasmosis in cattle and ehrlichiosis in dogs.

Dosage & Administration:

Deep intramuscular (IM), subcutaneous (SC) route.

Cattle: 100kg bodyweight In case of infection (Anaplasma/Babesia) administer 2.5ml per 100kg bodyweight

Horses / Donkey: In Babesia caballi 2ml/100Kg bodyweight and repeat after 24 hours interval.

In Babesia equi: 4 doses in 4ml/100Kg bodyweight at 72-hour intervals.

Sheep/Goat: 0.5ml per 50Kg bodyweight.

Dogs: 0.25ml per 10 kg body weight.

Withdrawal time: Meat: 28 days, Milk: 3 days.

Warnings & Precautions: 
Veterinary use only. Use under the direction of a veterinarian. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
It can cause cholinergic-type effects such as excessive sweating and abdominal discomfort.
Use cautiously in animals with liver or kidney impairment, or dehydrated or debilitated animals.
The animal should be monitored after injection for adverse reactions such as injection-site reactions (pain, swelling, or inflammation).
If treating babesiosis, severe cases may also require supportive treatment (fluids, management of anemia, etc.); the injection alone may not be sufficient.
For dogs, ehrlichiosis/babesiosis should ideally be confirmed by appropriate diagnostic testing before treatment.
Observe the meat, milk, and other withdrawal periods specified on the product’s local label.
