Duralin

Duralin 50 Injection (Oxytetracycline) by Mylab, 100 ml, is for veterinary use only. It is used in cattle, sheep, goats, horses, cats, and dogs to treat a wide range of bacterial infections.

Package Contains: Each pack of Duralin contains 100ml injection in a glass vial.

Composition: Duralin

Each ml contains:

Oxytetracycline (U.S.P.) 50 mg

Description: Duralin 50 injection is a broad-spectrum, bacteriostatic antibacterial, effective against gram +ve (positive) and gram -ve (negitive) bacteria.

Indications/Uses: Duralin 50 injection is indicated to treat a wide range of infectious diseases like Septicemia, Leptospirosis, bronchopneumonia, Gastro-intestinal, genito-urinary, and Udder infections in cattle, sheep, goats, horses, cats, and dogs

Dosage & Administration:

  • Cattle, Sheep & Goats: 1 ml per 5-10 kg b.wt. I.M.
  • Horses: 1 ml per 10 kg b.wt. slow I.V.
  • Cats & Dogs: 1 ml per 10 kg b.wt. I.M. or S.C.
  • The treatment should be prolonged for 3-5 days.

Withdrawal Period:

  • Meat: 10 days
  • Milk: 3 days.

Warnings & Precautions: Use as directed by a veterinarian. Giving more than the recommended amount or too many treatments can increase the risk of adverse effects and may affect withdrawal periods.

Use with extra care in animals with renal impairment, and consult a veterinarian before treatment.

Mild injection-site reactions can occur. If the animal shows severe weakness, or another unusual reaction, contact a veterinarian promptly.

Tell the veterinarian if the animal is taking any other medicines. Some antibiotics can interfere with each other or reduce the effectiveness of treatment.

Always follow the product-specific meat and milk withdrawal periods before products from treated animals are used for human consumption.
