Omivar

Omivar (omeprazole) I.V by Variant is a lyophilized sterile powder used for IV injections and infusion. The package contains 1 vial, 40mg omeprazole sodium, and 5ml sterile water for injection. It is used to treat excess stomach acid conditions when oral medication is unsuitable.

Omeprazole sodium equivalent to Omeprazole 40mg.

To be reconstituted with 5ml sterile water for injection.

Preparation of Solution:

Injection: To reconstitute, add 5mL of sterile water for injection.

Infusion: A solution for infusion is prepared by first reconstituting the contents of 1 vial with 5mL sterile water for injection.

Uses: Omivar medicine is used to treat conditions caused by excess stomach acid, including GERD (heartburn), gastric/duodenal ulcers, and erosive esophagitis.  Omivar back

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Store below 25℃.
  • Protect from sunlight and moisture.
  • Store in carton until the time of use.
  • The reconstituted solution should be administered within 8 hours after preparation.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • To be sold on prescription of a registered medical practitioner only.
