MECOBAL

MECOBAL (Mecobalamin Tablets JP) tablets are used to treat vitamin B12 deficiency.

Package Contains: The package Contains a Blister bag of 30 sugar-coated tablets of 500mcg.

Composition:

Each sugar-coated tablet contains:

Mecobalamin JP 500mcg

Indications:

It is essential for the normal functioning of the brain and nervous system and the formation of blood. It is used to treat

  •  Anemia MECOBAL
  •  Alzheimer’s disease
  •  Peripheral neuropathy
  •  Diabetic neuropathy
  •  Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

Usual Dose:

Adults: 1 tablet 3 times per week or depending upon the severity of symptoms.

Children: As directed by a doctor, depends upon the severity of symptoms.

Adverse reaction:

Gastrointestinal disorders: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain.
General disorders and admin site conditions: Hot sensation, diaphoresis, pain/induration (IM).
Immune system disorder: Rarely, hypersensitivity reaction e.g. rash, dyspnea.
Metabolism and nutrition disorders: Anorexia.
Nervous system disorders: Headache.

Contraindication: You should not use it if you are allergic to vitamin B12 or cobalt. Tell your doctor if you have ever had: Leber’s disease or other forms of optic nerve damage; an iron or folic acid deficiency; low levels of potassium in your blood; pregnant or breastfeeding.

Precautions: Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, any allergy, during pregnancy, and breastfeeding.

Store below 30°C. Protect from heat, light & moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
