Rigix Eye Drops (Cetirizine Ophthalmic Solution 0.24%) 5ml are four-season one solution ophthalmic eye drops. It is used to relieve eye irritation or allergic reactions.

Composition: Each ml contains: Rigix Eye Drops

Cetirizine as Hydrochloride 2.4mg.

Benzalkonium chloride (as preservative).

Dosage: as directed by the physician. The recommended dose of the Drops is to instill one drop in each affected eye twice daily, approximately 8 hours apart.

Indications/ Uses: Cetirizine, the active ingredient of Rigix Eye Drops, belongs to a group of medicines called antiallergics (antihistamines). It blocks the effects of a substance called histamine, which occurs naturally in the body. Histamine is involved in allergic reactions.

It is used to treat ocular itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis, relieve the unpleasant symptoms and discomfort, such as itchy, red and watering eyes.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding & fertility: It is not known how Rigix Eye drops affect pregnant women and breast milk. Talk to your doctor before using Rigix Eye drops when pregnant or breastfeeding.

Possible side effects: The ingredient Cetirizine as Hydrochloride may cause a few side effects (usually mild): temporary blurred vision, mild eye irritation or burning & dry eyes.

Not all side effects reported for Rigix Eye Drops are included in this leaflet. Should your general health worsen or if you experience any untoward effects while taking the Drops, please consult your healthcare provider for advice.

Warnings and Precautions: As with any eye drop, care should be taken not to touch the eyelids or surrounding areas with the dropper tip of the bottle or tip of the container, as this may lead to contamination. Keep the bottle closed when not in use. Do not wear contact lenses if your eyes are red.

Drops should not be used to treat irritation related to contact lenses. Remove your contact lenses before administering the Rigix drops to your eyes. The preservative in Rigix Eye Drops solution, Benzalkonium Chloride, may be absorbed by soft contact lenses. Lenses may be reinserted 10 minutes following administration of the eye drops.

Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. You should consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure. Your doctor will tell you how long the treatment with the eye drops will last.

Instructions: Use within one month after opening. Keep medicine out of the reach of children. Do not store over 30°C. Protect from direct sunlight, freezing, and heat.
