Pred Plus

Pred Plus by Schazoo Prednisolone Acetate 1.0% is a 5 mL eye drop sterile ophthalmic suspension formulation. It is used for severe & acute ocular inflammation.

Package Contains: Each Pred Plus package contains 5ml eye drops in a dropper bottle & a leaflet.

Composition: Each mL contains:  Pred Plus
Prednisolone Acetate U.S.P. 10 mg
Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose as
vehicle, Benzalkonium chloride, as
preservative, EDTA, Boric acid,
Sodium borate, Sodium chloride,
Tween 80 and WFI.

Dosage & Administration: As advised by the doctor. Instill one or two drops into the affected eye(s) two to four times a day or as advised by the doctor.

Uses/ Indications:  It is indicated for the treatment of steroid-responsive inflammation of the palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva, cornea, and anterior segment of the Globe.

Side Effects: Like all medicines, Pred Plus may cause some side effects, such as:

  • Mild burning or stinging after application.
  • Eye irritation or discomfort.
  • Watery eyes.
  • Temporary blurred vision.
  • Headache.
  • Unpleasant or altered taste in the mouth.

Contraindications: Viral, Fungal, Tuberculous, or purulent conditions, Glaucoma, and hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

Precautions / Warnings:

  • All steroidal eye drops may increase intraocular pressure, which may be associated with optic nerve damage.
  • Prolonged topical corticosteroid therapy is a possible factor in the formation of posterior subcapsular cataract.
  • Perforation of the globe may occur when used in conditions where there is thinning of the cornea or sclera.
  • Extensive or prolonged use of topical steroids should be avoided during pregnancy.

  • Protect from freezing.
  • Store below 30°C.
  • Protect from heat, light & moisture.
  • Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
  • To be used within 4 weeks after opening.

Note: For ophthalmic use only. Keep the bottle completely upright and shake it well before use.
