Hicel

Hicel (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose) REMINGTON eye drops are a sterile ophthalmic solution of 10 ml. FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. Its ingredient Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose has lubricating and emollient properties, its viscosity allows to protract the corneal contact time of a collirium.

It shows a refractive index comparable with the lacrimal fluid. Moreover, it regenerates, improves stability, and reproduces the visual characteristics of the lacrimal film. It develops a mild antiseptic activity, and it fosters hydration and corneal lubrication.

Package Contains: Each Hicel package contains a plastic dropper bottle of 10ml & a leaflet.

Composition:  

Each ml contains:

Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose U.S.P 5.00mg.

Benzalkonium Chloride 0.01% and Edetate Disodium as Preservatives.

Dosage & Administration: Instill 1 to 2 drops into the affected eye (s) 4 to 8 times daily or as directed by the doctor /ophthalmologist.

Indications/ Uses:  Hicel is recommended as a coadjuvant in dry eye syndrome, both of endogenous origin (alteration of the lacrimal film due to excess or deficiency of mucopolysaccharides) and exogenous origin (contact lens wearers, environmental factors).

Mild ocular irritations due to smog, dust, cold, wind, sun, brine, to facilitate the elimination of foreign bodies and toxic substances.

Hicel is well tolerated when instilled in the conjunctival sac, as it is demonstrated from the clinical evaluation.

Contraindications: Contraindicated in those patients showing hypersensitivity to any of its components.

Caution: Once opened, use within 4 weeks. Protect from sunlight and heat. Store in a cool, dry place away from children’s reach. Do not freeze. ON PRESCRIPTION ONLY.

Side Effects: Unknown.

Precautions / Instruction: If experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation of the eye, or if the condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hours, discontinue use and consult your ophthalmologist.
