Avanep (Nepafenac Ophthalmic Suspension) 0.1%w/v by ATCO 5ml is a sterile ophthalmic suspension. It is used for pain and inflammation associated with cataract surgery.

Package Contains: Each Avanep package contains 5ml eye drops in a dropper bottle & a leaflet.

Indication, Dosage & Administration: Use as directed by the physician. For further information, see the pack insert.

Uses/ Indication:

  • Avanep ophthalmic suspension is indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with cataract surgery.
  • Nepafenac ophthalmic (for the eyes) is used to reduce pain and swelling after cataract surgery.

Side Effects/Adverse Effects:

  • Prolonged use of nepafenac eye drops (more than 2 weeks)
    may increase the risk of very serious side effects on the eye.
  • Ocular Adverse Reactions: Frequently occurring ocular adverse reactions following
    Cataract surgery were capsular opacity, decreased visual
    acuity, foreign body sensation, increased intraocular pressure,
    and sticky sensation.
  • Other ocular adverse reactions included conjunctival edema,
    corneal edema, dry eye, lid margin crusting, ocular discomfort,
    ocular hyperemia, ocular pain, ocular pruritus, photophobia,
    tearing and vitreous detachment.
  • Some of these reactions may be the consequence of the
    cataract surgical procedure.

Contraindications: Avanep is contraindicated in patients with previously demonstrated hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients in the formula or to other NSAIDs.  Avanep back

Instruction:  

  • Keep out of the reach of children.
  • Protect from light & heat.
  • Do not store & transport above.
  • 30°C & avoid freezing.
  • Shake well before use.
  • Do not touch tip of bottle to any surface to avoid contamination.
  • The contents should not be used more than four weeks after first opening the bottle.
  • Tighten the cap after use.
  • To be sold on the prescription of a registered medical practitioner only.
