Uses/Indications: Ocumox ophthalmic solution is indicated for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis caused by susceptible strains of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms.  It works by inhibiting the growth and multiplication of bacteria responsible for the infection, thereby helping reduce symptoms such as eye redness, irritation, swelling, and abnormal discharge. The solution is intended for bacterial eye infections and is not effective against viral or allergic forms of conjunctivitis.

Adverse effects: No serious ophthalmic or systemic adverse reactions related to Moxifloxacin were reported. Adverse reactions were generally mild and occurred at an incidence similar to placebo (vehicle). The most frequently reported event was transient ocular discomfort (burning/stinging) reported at an incidence of 2.9%. Other reported events included headache, keratitis, ocular pain, ocular pruritus, ocular hyperemia, pharyngitis and subconjunctival hemorrhage which were reported at an incidence of 0.5% to 1.0%.
