Nebra Ointment
Nebra Ointment (Tobramycin) by REMINGTON is an Eye Ointment of 5G (Sterile), gamma irradiated, and is used for ocular infections. It is for external use only.
Package Contains: Each pack of Nebra contains 5 grams of ointment in an ophthalmic tube & leaflet. It is also available as Nebra eye drops of 5ml.

USP Specs
Indications/ Uses: On prescription only. Nebra Ointment is indicated for the treatment of eye infections caused by organisms sensitive to tobramycin. It is stated in the treatment of infections of the external eye and its adnexae caused by susceptible bacteria, e.g., in conditions like conjunctivitis, corneal ulcers, blepharitis, dacryocystitis, palpebral abscess, prophylaxis in traumatic eye injuries, and post-operative eye conditions.
Dosage & Administration: Apply 1cm to 1.5cm ribbon of ointment into the lower conjunctival sac(s) of affected eye(s) two to three times a day.
Severe Infections: Apply 1cm to 1.5cm ribbon of ointment into the lower conjunctival sac(s) of affected eye(s) every three to four hours until improvement occurs; dosage should be reduced before discontinuation.
Contraindications: Tobramycin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components.
Adverse reactions/ Side Effects: The most frequent adverse reaction to Tobramycin is localized ocular toxicity and hypersensitivity, including lid itching, swelling, and conjunctival erythema. If topical ocular Tobramycin is administered along with systemic aminoglycoside antibiotics, care should be taken to monitor the total serum concentrations.
Contra-Indications: It should not be used in patients hypersensitive to any of its components.
Precautions: As with other antibiotics, prolonged use may result in overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms, including fungi. In case of superinfection, proper therapy should be followed.
Pregnancy & Nursing Mothers: Safety of the use of this drug in pregnancy has not been established. This drug should only be used during pregnancy and by nursing mothers if clearly needed.
Overdose: Clinical signs and symptoms of an overdose of Tobramycin may be punctate keratitis, erythema, increased lacrimation, edema, and lid itching.
Instructions: The medicine is usable for 6 weeks after first opening the lid. Protect the medicine from sunlight and light. Store in a cool, dry place. Store between 8°C 30°C. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not freeze. Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine. And consult your doctor.
