Zauxit

Zauxit (Fluoxetine Hydrochloride USP) Capsule is usually used for the treatment of mental or mood disorders such as; depression, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorder (bulimia), premenstrual dysphoric disorder (premenstrual syndrome).

It is composed of Fluoxetine which belongs to a class of drugs known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI)s. it works by restoring and maintaining the balance of natural substances (serotonin) in the brain.

USP Specs

Dosage: As prescribed by the physician.

Indications: Depression and its associated anxiety & obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Contra-Indications: Known hypersensitivity to the drug. Fluoxetine HCI should not be used in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI).

Precautions: Fluoxetine HCI should be used with caution in reduced doses in patients with impaired hepatic or renal function and in patients with epilepsy or history of such disorders. Zauxit-back

  • Insomnia
  • Drowsiness
  • Fatigue
  • Asthenia
  • Tremor
  • Sweating
  • Gastrointestinal complaints including anorexia,
  • Nausea
