Its ingredient, Cholecalciferol, also known as vitamin D₃ or cholecalciferol, is a type of vitamin D produced by the skin when exposed to UVB light. It is found in certain foods and can be taken as a dietary supplement. Cholecalciferol is synthesised in the skin following sunlight exposure.
Cholecalciferol is needed by the body for healthy bones, muscles, nerves, and to support the immune system. It works by helping the body to use more of the calcium found in foods or supplements. It is also good for the skin.
