Purpal

Purpal (Esomeprazole Magnesium) Capsule is used to treat the symptoms of hyperacidity in the stomach. It treats conditions such as esophagitis, Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease, Zollinger Ellison Syndrome, and peptic ulcers. It is also used in stress-induced and pain-killer-induced hyperacid conditions.

Each capsule contains:

Enteric-coated Pellets of Esomeprazole (as Magnesium Trihydrate) 40mg

Uses:

Purpal Capsule is composed of Esomeprazole as an active ingredient and belongs to the anti-ulcerate class of drugs. It works by decreasing the production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach and thus relieves the symptoms. It can be used single or in combination with other drugs.

Side Effects:

Some side effects may be caused by this medicine but they are extremely rare. Common side-effects are; 

  • Diarrhea Purpal-Back
  • Nausea
  • Dry mouth
  • Abdominal pain
  • Headache
  • Back pain 
  • Stomach upset

Some serious side effects may also occur;

  • Bone breaks
  • Vitamin b12 deficiency 
  • Low levels of magnesium 
  • Inflammation in kidneys
  • Inflammation in the stomach lining.
