Picam (Piroxicam) by AMSON is a 20 mg, 10-capsule. Piroxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent that possesses analgesic and antipyretic properties.
Package Contains: Each Picam package contains 10 capsules and a leaf inserted inside. It is also available as 20 capsules box.

Dosage and administration: As directed by the physician or see package insert for full prescribing information.
Uses: It is commonly used to relieve pain, swelling, and joint stiffness associated with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.
Special Warning & Precautions for Use: The use of Piroxicam with concomitant systemic non-aspirin NSAIDs, including cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitors, should be avoided. Concomitant use of systemic NSAIDs and other systemic NSAIDs may increase the frequency of gastrointestinal ulcers and bleeding.
Side Effects: Its serious side effects include stomach pain, nausea, constipation, diarrhea, and indigestion.
Contraindications: Piroxicam is contraindicated in;
Patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulceration, bleeding, or perforation. Patients with active peptic ulceration. Patients with known hypersensitivity to Piroxicam or to any of the excipients. The potential exists for cross-sensitivity to aspirin and other NSAIDs. Piroxicam should not be given to patients in whom aspirin and NSAIDs induce the symptoms of asthma, nasal polyps, Angioedema of urticaria.
