Losec Omeprazole 20mg is a trademark of the AstraZeneca group of Companies. Losec is used to treat the symptoms of reflux oesophagitis or reflux disease in adults and in children. This can be caused by “washing back” (reflux) of food and acid from the stomach into the gullet (oesophagus).

Omeprazole:

Omeprazole 20mg Capsules are used to treat the following conditions: In adults: ‘Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD).

This is where acid from the stomach escapes into the gullet (the tube which connects your throat to your stomach) causing pain, inflammation and heartburn.

Dosage:

The capsule should be swallowed with liquid. The Capsule Contents should not be chewed or crushed.

Take this medication by mouth as directed, usually once daily before a meal. The dosage and length of treatment are based on your medical condition and response to treatment. In children, the dosage is also based on weight. Losec-back

Administration:

  • Replace Cap firmly after use.
  • Do not store above 30°C.
  • It should be kept away from the children.
