Betnesol-N
Betnesol-N (Sterile) drops are for the eye, ear, and nose.
Package contains: 7.5ml drops along with an instructional leaflet enclosed.
Composition:
Betamethasone sodium Neomycin B.P. 0.1% w/v.
Neomycin sulphate B.P. 0.5% w/v.
Dosage & Administration: Treatment should not be continued for more than seven days without medical supervision.
Adults:
Eyes: 1-2 drops instilled into the eye every 1 or 2 hours.
Ears: 2-3 drops instilled into the ear every 2 or 3 h.
Nose: 2-3 drops instilled into each nostril 2 or 3 times daily.
Children: Not recommended for <2yrs.
Renal impairment: Dosage should be reduced in patients with reduced renal function.
Indication:
Eyes: Non-infected steroid-responsive Inflammatory conditions e.g. Uveitis, Marginal keratitis, allergic conjunctivitis, Blepharitis, Episcleritis, and secondary bacterial infection.
Ears: Otitis externa and other steroid-responsive inflammatory conditions where bacterial Infection is present or suspected.
Nose: Steroid responsive inflammatory conditions where Infection is present or suspected.
Contraindications: Viral, fungal, tuberculous conditions, hypersensitivity, and if glaucoma is present or whore herpetic keratitis is considered.
Precautions:
- Use only on medical advice.
- The bottle must be stored upright.
- Store below 30 degree Celsius.
- Protect from light.
- Keep all medicates out of the reach of children.
