Provas

Provas (Paracetamol) injection contains 1g/100ml for IV infusion only. It is a painkiller that treats pain such as headaches, muscle aches, arthritis, backache, toothaches, and colds. It is also used to treat high fever.

Package Contains: Each pack contains a 1g/100mi infusion of Provas.

Composition:                                                                         

Each 100ml contains:

Paracetamol BP 1g.

Dosage: As directed by the physician.

Indications: Provas is indicated for short-term treatment of moderate pain, especially following surgery, and for short-term treatment of fever,

when administered by the intravenous route is clinically justified by an urgent need to treat pain or when other routes of administration are not possible.

Contra-indication: 

• Patient with hypersensitivity to paracetamol.
• In cases of severe hepatocellular insufficiency.

Caution: Injection should not be used if the container is leaking, the solution is cloudy, or contains undissolved particles.

Instructions: 

• Keep out of reach of children.
• Avoid exposure to heat, light, and freezing.
• Store between 15 to 30°C.
• Improper storage may deteriorate the medicine.
• Warning: Only to be sold on prescription of a registered medical practitioner.

Precautions: Paracetamol should be used with caution in cases of:

Hepatocellular insufficiency, severe renal insufficiency, chronic alcoholism, chronic malnutrition, and dehydration.

Overdosage: There is a risk of poisoning, particularly in elderly subjects, in young children, in patients with liver diseases, in cases of chronic alcoholism, in patients with chronic malnutrition, & patients receiving enzyme inducers.
