2Sum Cefoperazone Sodium + Sulbactam Sodium Mfr. Specs. by Healthtek is a 2 g injection for IM/IV use only. 5. It is antibacterial for systemic use, a combination of a third-generation cephalosporin and a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It is used to treat bacterial infections, including certain respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, and other infections caused by susceptible bacteria.

Package Contains: Each 2Sum package contains 2g of injection (a 1 g vial & 6.7 mL Water for Injection). It is also available as 1g/500g injection.

Vial/ Composition: Each Vial contains:  2Sum

Sterile Cefoperazone Sodium equivalent

to Cefoperazone. 1g

Sterile Sulbactam Sodium equivalent to

Sulbactam. 1g

Directions for reconstitution:

  • Dissolve vial contents by vigorous shaking.
  • Using 6.7 mL Water for Injection provided with the pack.
  • Freshly reconstituted solution is recommended.

Dosage: As directed by the physician.

Ampoule: Sterile Water for Injection USP (10ml).

Uses/ Therapeutic Indications: 2Sum is indicated for the treatment of the following infections when caused by susceptible organisms:

  • Respiratory Tract Infections.
  • Urinary Tract Infections (Upper and Lower).
  • Intra-abdominal Infections.
  • Septicemia.
  • Meningitis.
  • Skin and Soft Tissue Infections.
  • Bone and Joint Infections.
  • Endometritis.
  • Other Infections of the Genital Tract (Bartholin’s gland inflammation, intrauterine
  • infection, uterine adnexitis, uterine phlegmonitis).
  • Sepsis.
  • Infective endocarditis.
  • Secondary infections from trauma.
  • Burns, surgical wounds.
  • Pneumonia.
  • Secondary infections from chronic respiratory lesions.
  • Cholecystitis.
  • Cholangitis.
  • Liver abscess.

Undesirable Effects:

  • Blood and lymphatic system disorders.
  • Immune system disorders.
  • Nervous system disorders.
  • Vascular disorders.
  • Gastrointestinal disorders.
  • Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders.
  • Renal and urinary disorders.
  • General disorders and administration site conditions.
  • Bacterial replacement.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the active substances (cefoperazone, sulbactam), to beta-lactams or to any of the excipients.  2Sum back

Instructions: For single use only; discard unused portion.

Keep out of reach of children.

Do not store over 30°C, and protect from heat, light and moisture.

Improper storage may deteriorate the medicine.
