Orafate
Orafate (Sucralfate) is an oral suspension used widely in treating gastral diseases.
Composition:
In a 60 ml bottle, every 5 ml of this suspension is composed of 1 mg Basic Aluminum Sucrose Octasulphate (Sucralfate) USP.
Indications:
Orafate is used in curing minor to major stomach diseases such as Reflux Oesophagitis, Duodenal Ulcer, Heart Bum, Gastric Erosions, radiation proctitis, Duodenitis, Gastritis, Gastric Ulcer, and Bile Reflux.
Shake the bottle of suspension well before taking it.
Store at a cool place having no moisture, heat, or exposure to the sun.
Dosage:
For Ulcer patients, one teaspoon which is 5 ml is suggested four times a day on empty stomach.
In another case, two teaspoons which are 10 ml are given to the patient twice a day.
In this case, medicine is given an hour before every meal or on an empty stomach if directed by the doctor or physician.
In the case of non Ulcer patients, one teaspoon is recommended which is 5 ml twice a day before taking each meal or on empty stomach.

Adverse effects:
Orafate can cause dizziness, stomach pain, constipation, and nausea.
In some patients, it can cause hypersensitivity.
