Caflam

Caflam (Diclofenac Potassium) is used to relieve pain and swelling (inflammation) from various mild to moderate painful conditions. It is used to treat muscle aches, backache, dental pain, menstrual cramps, and sports injuries. It also reduces pain, swelling, and joint stiffness caused by arthritis.

Presentation: The package contains 20 film coated tablets each of 50mg.

Composition: Caflam

Each sugar-coated tablet contains

Diclofenac potassium 50mg

Usual Dosage:

For Adults: 1 tablet twice or thrice daily or as directed by a registered medical practitioner.

For children: The medicine is not recommended for children below age 16.

Side effects:

Common side effects of this medicine are:

  • Upset stomach
  • Stomach pain
  • Nausea
  • Heartburn
  • Diarrhea
  • Constipation
  • Bloating
  • Headache
  • Gas
  • Drowsiness
  • Dizziness
  • Nervousness
  • Skin rash or itching
  • Blurred vision or ringing in your ears

Tell your doctor if you have unlikely but serious side effects of Cataflam including:

  • Swelling of hands or feet Caflam-2
  • Sudden or unexplained weight gain
  • Hearing changes
  • Mental/ mood changes
  • Difficult or painful swallowing
  • Unusual tiredness

Storage:

Protect from heat, light, and moisture.

All drugs should be kept out of the reach of the children.

Don’t chew the tablet.

Warnings:

Take this medicine in pregnancy only if it is prescribed by your doctor. However, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or if you plan to become pregnant. This drug may cause miscarriage. It is not recommended during 1st and last trimesters of pregnancy due to possible harm to the fetus and interference with normal labor/ delivery.
