Gravinate

Garvinate (Dimendyrinate B.P.) tablets are manufactured by The Searle Company Limited.

It is used to treat vomiting and nausea caused by motion sickness and also treats these symptoms during pregnancy.

Each pack contains: Each 50mg pack of Gravinate contains 100 tablets.

Composition:

Each tablet contains Dimenhydrinate B.P. 50mg.

Usage:

Gravinate contains a combination of Doxylamine and vitamins B6. This medicine is used to prevent motion sickness. The first dose of this medicine should be taken 30 minutes to 1 hour before travel.

Dosage:

The usual dosage for adults: 50-100mg (1-2 tablets) 3 or 4 times daily. Children: Under 6 years age: gravinate liquid is recommended.

6-8 years: 12.5-25mg (1/4-1/2 tablet) 2 to 3 times daily. 8 -12 years: 25-50mg (1/2 to 1 tablet) 2 to 3 times daily or as prescribed by the physician.

Side effects: Drowsiness, constipation, dry mouth, and irritation in the nose are some common side effects of using this medicine. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor promptly.

If your doctor has directed you to use this medicine. Remember that he or she has judged that the benefits to you are greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.

If you have any serious side effects, including mood changes (such as restlessness, confusion), fast/irregular heartbeat, shaking (tremor), difficulty urinating, then consult your doctor.

Protect from moisture, freezing, excessive heat, and sunlight. Keep out of the reach of children.

Caution:

This may cause drowsiness. If affected, do not drive or operate machinery.
