Cibcos

Cibcos (Expectorant- E) is cough syrup, Mentholated Expectorant & Bronchodilator with Antihistaminic properties.

Brief Prescribing information: Therapeutic Indication: This oral solution is used to treat symptomatic relief of productive cough, post influenza cough, cough due to pharyngitis associated with bronchospasm, spasm of whooping cough, smoking cough, irritating cough due to disturbed sleep, and Emphysema.

Package contains: The package contains a bottle with approximately 120 ml syrup and a leaflet.

Composition: Cibcos

Each 5ml contains

Aminophylline B.P 32mg

Ammonium Chloride B.P 30 mg

Diphenhydramine HCl. B.P 8mg

Dosage:

Adults: 1-2 teaspoons every 2-4 hours daily or as directed by the registered medical practitioner

Children: 2-6 years: ¼ -½ teaspoon every 2-4 hours daily

Side effects:

Side effects that occur through Cibcos are rare but can be severe, Symptoms maybe:

  • Vomiting
  • Headache Cibcos-back
  • Insomnia
  • Cardiac arrhythmias
  • Seizures
  • Diarrhea
  • Transient diuresis
  • Drowsiness.

Precautions & Warning:

Do not exceed recommended dose. May cause drowsiness. cause disturbance to drive or operate heavy machinery.

  • Shake well before use.
  • Protect from heat, sunlight, and moisture.
  • Keep bottles tightly closed, avoid freezing.
  • Store in a cool place.
  • Keep out of the reach of children.
