ViPTiN Met

Viptin Met (Vildagliptin + Metformin HCl) (50/500mg) tablet is composed of Vildagliptin + Metformin. Vildagliptin belongs to a group of medicines known as dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitors. Metformin belongs to a group of medicines known as biguanides. It shows effectiveness by reducing the amount of glucose made by the liver. It also helps to increase the release of insulin.

Uses: It is used with a healthy diet and proper exercise to control high blood pressure in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Package Contains: It contains 14 tablets of 50/500mg.

Composition:

Each film coated tablet contains:

Vildagliptin MS 50 mg

Metformin HCl BP 500mg

Dosage: As directed by the physician. For oral use only.

Precautions: Consult your doctor before breastfeeding. Please consult your doctor when taking this medicine if you are pregnant.

Side effects:

Back pain

Muscle pain

Nasopharyngitis

Low blood sugar

Upper respiratory tract infection

Low blood levels of vitamin B-12.

Store below 15 to 30°C. Improper storage may deteriorate the medicine.
