Cefidon

Cefidon is a powder for pediatric oral suspension. Don Valley manufacture this syrup. The active ingredient present in this drug is Cefixime (100mg/5ml). This medication is a strong antibiotic cephalosporin. It treats bacterial infections in children.

Package Contains: Each package of Cefidon contains Cefixime 100mg/5ml. After the reconstituted process 30ml suspension is formed.

Composition:

 Each reconstituted 5ml contains:

• Cefixime USP 100mg.

(As Cefixime Trihydrate).

• Third generation oral cephalosporin antibiotic.

Dosage:

As directed by the physician or see package insert for full prescribing information. For accurate measurement of dosage, a spoon is provided.

Direction for preparation:

• Shake a bottle of powder well to loosen the powder.
• Add half of the water (10ml approx.) from the bottle of purified water to the bottle of powder and close the cap and shake.
• After this, add the remaining purified water (10ml approx.) to the bottle of powder.
• Invert and shake vigorously to make approx. 30ml suspension.
• The reconstituted suspension should be stored in a cool and dry place and can be used within 7 days.

Instructions:

• Store below 30°C.
• Protect from sunlight and moisture.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not freeze.
• To be sold on prescription of a registered medical practitioner only.
