Zatofen

Zatofen (Ketotifen) by AGP, 30 tablets. Ketotifen is a second-generation antihistamine and mast cell stabilizer. It is used to relieve allergy symptoms, such as sneezing, a runny nose, itching, and watery eyes.

Package Contains: Each Zatofen package contains 30 tablets.

Composition:  Zatofen

Each tablet contains:

Ketotifen (Phr. Eur.) 1mg.

(as hydrogen fumarate)

Dosage: As directed by the physician.

Uses/ Indications: It is commonly used for:

  • Treats allergic conditions like hay fever and rhinitis.
  • Contains cetirizine hydrochloride, an antihistamine that reduces allergy symptoms.
  • Relieves sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, and throat discomfort.
  • One tablet daily provides relief without causing significant drowsiness.

Usual dosage: As prescribed by the doctor, twice daily with meals.

Adults: 1 tablet

Children: 6 months to 3 years: 1/2 tablet.

3 years and above: one tablet.

Usual course: minimum of three months.

Warnings & precautions:

  • Take Zatofen Tablets only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
  • This medicine may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.
  • Inform your healthcare professional if you have epilepsy, a history of seizures, diabetes, or any other medical condition.
  • Consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all other medicines and supplements you are taking to avoid possible interactions.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to ketotifen or any of its ingredients.
  • Do not use Zatofen to treat a sudden asthma attack. Continue your prescribed asthma treatment and follow your emergency action plan.
  • Do not exceed the prescribed dose. If you miss a dose, follow your healthcare professional’s instructions and do not take a double dose.
  • Keep the tablets out of the reach of children and store them according to the instructions on the package.
