Antil Pheniramine Maleate (B.P.) IM / IV Injection (Izfaar’s Specs) is an approx 50ml injection. Antil is an Antihistaminic, Antiallergic injection for veterinary use only and is mostly used for animals like horses, bulls, goats, and dogs to treat drug allergies and inflammations. Antihistaminic medicines block the action of histamine, a chemical released during allergic reactions, thereby reducing symptoms such as itching, redness, swelling, and hives. Antiallergic medicines help control and relieve the signs and symptoms associated with allergic reactions.

Package Contains: Each pack of Antil contains 50ml liquid injection in a glass vial.

Composition:  Antil

Each ml contains:

Pheniramine Maleate (BP) 11.35 mg

Dosage & Administration: The recommended dose for Antil injection is 1ml – 2ml in small animals and 5ml – 10ml in large animals.

Indications/Uses: It is indicated for itching due to eczema, dermatitis, urticaria, skin oedema, insect bites, photo-dermatitis, rhinitis, tail eczema in horses, stomatitis, and inflammation of the hooves of cattle. Serum sickness, paresis during pregnancy, toxaemia and retention of placenta, pulmonary oedema in cattle, pulmonary emphysema in horses. The usefulness of Antil has also been demonstrated in drug allergies, anaphylactic shock, laminitis, atony of the rumen, and also in the treatment of acute septic metritis and mastitis in conjunction with antibacterial therapy. It is recommended in all inflammatory conditions.

Warnings & Precautions: Use only under veterinary supervision.

  • Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to pheniramine or its ingredients.
  • Use cautiously in animals with glaucoma, urinary retention, or cardiovascular problems.
  • Follow the recommended dose and route of administration carefully.
  • Use during pregnancy or lactation only on veterinary advice.
  • Keep the animal under observation for any unusual or worsening reaction after injection.
