Albenza

Albenza (Albendazole) USP one dose 10ml Suspension liquid by Jans Pharma is a treatment for the most common worm. Albenza (containing albendazole) is an antiparasitic medication used to treat a wide range of parasitic worm infections in adults and children.

Package Contains: Each pack of Albenza contains a suspension (syrup) bottle of 10 ml.

Dosage & Administration: 10ml as a single dose in both adults & children over 2 years of age, unless otherwise directed by your doctor. Children 12-24 months, 5ml suspension as a single dose.

Indication / Uses: It is indicated for the following:

  • Roundworms (Ascaris lumbricoides): Intestinal worms that can cause abdominal discomfort, nausea, and loss of appetite.
  • Pinworms (Enterobius vermicularis): Small intestinal worms commonly causing itching around the anus, especially at night.
  • Hookworms (Ancylostoma duodenale, Necator americanus): Intestinal worms that can cause blood loss, weakness, and anemia.
  • Whipworms (Trichuris trichiura): Intestinal worms that may cause abdominal pain, diarrhea, and other digestive problems.
  • Tapeworms (Taenia species): Flat, segmented intestinal worms that can cause abdominal discomfort and digestive symptoms.
  • Threadworms (Strongyloides stercoralis): Small intestinal worms that may cause abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, or skin symptoms.

Albendazole is a deworming medicine used against several common intestinal worms, but the appropriate dose and duration depend on the specific parasite and infection.

Warnings & Precautions:

Avoid use during pregnancy, especially the first trimester, unless prescribed.

Consult a healthcare professional before use during breastfeeding.

Use cautiously in patients with liver disease.
