Chol-D (Cholecalciferol) is a vitamin D3 200000 IU super sun vitamin D3 halal oral/rapid-release 1 softgel capsule dietary supplement. It is used to prevent and treat vitamin D deficiency and to support strong bones and teeth and proper calcium absorption.

Dosage: As directed by your health advisor.

Dosage & Administration: Prevention of vitamin D3 deficiency: 12-18 years: 200,000 IU (1 capsule) every 6 weeks.

Treatment of vitamin D3 deficiency: 12-18 years: 200,000 IU (1 capsule) once every 2 weeks to 6 weeks.

Adults: Prevention of vitamin D3 deficiency: 1 capsule Chol-D 200,000 IU is to be given per month.

Treatment of vitamin D3 deficiency: 1 capsule Chol-D 200,000 IU once every 2 weeks to 4 weeks. Or as directed by your health advisor.

Infants and young children (0-12 years): Not recommended for children under 12 years.

What is vitamin D3 and what does it do? Vitamin D3 is a nutrient found in some foods that is needed for health and to maintain strong bones. It helps the body to absorb calcium (one of bones main building blocks) from food and supplements. People who get too little vitamin D3 may develop soft, thin & brittle bones, a condition known as rickets in children and osteomalacia in adults. Vitamin D3 is important for the body in many ways; for example, muscles need it to move, Nerves need it to carry messages between the brain & every body part, Immune system needs vitamin D3 to fight off invading bacteria and viruses.   • Calcium lithiasis (kidney stones).

Special warnings: In order to avoid any vitamin D3 overdose, you should ask your doctor’s advice in case of concomitant treatment with drugs containing this vitamin. If high or repeated doses of vitamin D3 are administered or if high doses of calcium are associated, it is necessary to monitor calcium levels in blood and urine.

Interactions with other Medicines and other Interactions: To avoid possible interactions between several drugs, you must always tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other treatments you are taking.
