Dcad-3 (Cholecalciferol) by SHAIGAN is a 5mg/ml vitamin D3 (200,000 I.U) injection, 1×1 mL ampoule for oral or I.M use only. It treats severe Vitamin D shortages, builds strong bones, helps the body absorb calcium, and supports muscle and immune health.
Package Contains: Each Dcad-3 package contains a 1x1ml ampoule of 5mg/ml injection & a leaflet.
Composition: Each ml contains: 
Cholecalciferol, B.P 5mg (equivalent to 200,000 I.U.)

Uses: It is indicated for the prevention and treatment of cholecalciferol (Vitamin D₃) deficiency of the following conditions:
- Bone disorders (such as rickets, osteomalacia)
- Prevent bone loss (such as osteoporosis)
- Low levels of calcium or phosphate caused by certain disorders (such as hypoparathyroidism, pseudohypoparathyroidism, familial hypophosphatemia and tetany caused by hypocalcemia)
- During kidney disease to keep calcium levels normal and allow normal bone growth
- During pregnancy (6th or 7th month) and breastfeeding, an essential nutrient for a growing infant
- Pre-eclampsia during pregnancy
- Menopause
Dosage & Administration: Route of administration: Dcad-3 can be taken by oral and parenteral routes. Injectable solution can be administered through the IM or oral route.
For Treatment:

| Osteoporosis | 1 ampoule every 2 weeks for 3 months |
| Osteomalacia | 1 ampoule every 2 weeks for 3 months |
| Tetany caused by hypocalcemia | 1 ampoule for every 4 months which may be increased to 2 ampoules |
| Menopause | 1 ampoule for every 6 months |
| Vitamin D₃ Deficiency | 1 ampoule can be repeated 1 to 6 months later |
For Prevention:

Side Effects: Generally, all nutritional supplements are considered to be safe and well tolerated. However, a few most common side effects can generally occur, including hypocalcaemia syndrome or calcium intoxication (depending on the severity and duration of hypocalcaemia); occasional acute symptoms include anorexia, headache, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain or stomach ache, and constipation with the administration of cholecalciferol.
