Levemir FlexPen

Levemir FlexPen (Insulin detemir) is a 5 × 3 mL, 100 U/ml Solution for injection in a pre-filled pen. It is for subcutaneous use and is used to help control blood sugar levels.

Package Contains: Each Levemir package contains a 5 × 3 ml, 100 U/ml pre-filled pen injection.

Subcutaneous use: Designed to be used with NovoFine or NovoTwist disposable needles up to a length of 8 mm.

Composition: Needles are not included:

1 ml contains 100 U (14.2 mg) of insulin detemir, glycerol, phenol, metacresol, zinc acetate, disodium phosphate dihydrate, sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment, and water for injection.

Uses: Levemir FlexPen is commonly used for:

Type 1 diabetes: used with rapid-acting insulin.
Type 2 diabetes: when blood sugar is not adequately controlled with diet, exercise, or oral diabetes medicines.
Maintaining stable blood glucose levels throughout the day and night.
Reducing the risk of diabetes-related complications by improving blood sugar control.

Before Opening: Store in a refrigerator (2°C – 8°C).

During use: Use within 6 weeks. Store below 30°C. Can be stored in a refrigerator (2°C – 8°C). Do not freeze. Keep the cap on in order to protect from light. Discard the needle after each injection.

Instruction: Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Read the package leaflet before use. Use only clear and colourless solution. Single patient use only.
