Alvigo (levocetirizine dihydrochloride) by Platinum is a 60 ml syrup in cherry flavor and contains 2.5mg/5ml. Levocetirizine dihydrochloride is an antihistamine commonly used to treat allergy symptoms.

Levocetirizine dihydrochloride (U.S.P. Specs.) 2.5 mg.

Dosage & Administration: As directed by the physician.
Usual Dosage:
Adults and children 12 years of age and above: 2 teaspoonfuls (10ml) once daily.
Children: 6-11 years: 1 teaspoonful (5ml) once daily.
6 months to 5 years: 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) once daily.
Uses: Levocetirizine dihydrochloride is an antihistamine medicine that works by blocking H1 histamine receptors, thereby preventing histamine from producing its effects during allergic reactions. It helps relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, and chronic urticaria (hives).
Precautions:
Use cautiously if you have kidney disease.
Avoid other sedating drugs if it makes you drowsy.
Check with a doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.
Side Effects: Side effects of Levocetirizine dihydrochloride are usually mild, but can include: Drowsiness, fatigue, headache, dry mouth, and sore throat.
