Babynol

Babynol syrup is Woodward’s Honey Flavour Anti-Tussive, 60 ml syrup. It is used for children to reduce fever and mild to moderate pain.

Package Contains: Each Babynol package contains a 60ml syrup bottle.

Composition:  Each 5ml contains: Babynol

Chlorpheniramine Maleate B.P 1mg.

Dextromethorphan HBr B.P 7mg.

(Product complies with W.Woodward specs).

Dosage & Administration:

Age Dosage
Children under 2 years Consult a doctor.
2 to 6 years 1 teaspoonful.
6 to 12 years 2 teaspoonfuls.
Adults & Children above 12 years 2-4 teaspoonfuls.

Dose may be repeated every 6 to 8 hours, or as directed by the physician.

Uses:  It is commonly used to:

  • Reduce fever in babies and children.
  • Relieve teething pain.
  • Headache.
  • Toothache.
  • Ear pain.
  • Sore throat pain.
  • Body aches during cold or flu.
  • Pain after vaccination.

Side Effects: Babynol syrup is usually safe when used correctly, but some side effects may occur:

  • Nausea.
  • Vomiting.
  • Mild stomach upset.

Instruction:

  • Babynel should be given with care to patients with liver disease and asthma.
  • Store below 30°C. Protect from sunlight and moisture.
  • Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
  • Do not exceed the stated dose.
  • May cause drowsiness, hence if used by adults, do not drive or operate machinery while using Babynol.
