Lactocare
Lactocare is a probiotic sachet in orange flavour. It contains Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, and Bifidobacterium animalis, which are all probiotic bacteria commonly found in supplements and fermented foods. They are known for their potential health benefits.
It is a multistrain and multispecies probiotic, a combination of three of the most clinically documented probiotics, designed for the treatment and prevention of acute or chronic infectious diarrhoea of non-specific origin, antibiotic-associated diarrhoea & traveler’s diarrhoea, general gastrointestinal well-being, and other gastrointestinal symptoms.

Composition: Each sachet contains:
Lactobacillus acidophilus LA-14 (USP) 2billon CFu
Lactobacillus rhamnosus HN001 (USP) 2billion CFU
Bifidobacterium animalis (USP) 4billion CFU.
Dosage: Children 3-12 Months: 1 Sachet per day or as advised by the doctor. To be dissolved in 10- 15 mL of cold boiled water, fruit juice or milk.
Above 1 Year: 1 Sachet twice a day or as advised by the doctor.
Directions for Use: Pour the contents (powder) of the sachet into water or semi-solids, mix, and swallow. Don’t mix Lactocare in very hot or very cold liquid.
Indications: Lactocare is indicated for

- Colic Irritability in Infants.
- IBS & H. pylori

Detailed Uses:
- For the treatment and prevention of acute and chronic infectious diarrhoea of non-specific origin, antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, traveler’s diarrhoea, general gastrointestinal well-being, and other gastrointestinal symptoms.
- To lower the frequency of colic/irritability in infants.
- To lower the frequency of antibiotic use.
- To enhance the immune response after vaccination.
- To alleviate symptoms of atopic eczema by the immune-modulating effect.
- To improve the eradication of H. pylori and restore the depletion of Gl Bifidobacterium after antibiotic treatment.
- Lactocare can be combined with ORS, antibiotics, antifungal, antiprotozoal, antiviral, other anti-diarrhoeal products, and also with chemotherapeutic agents.
Dosage and Administration: The usual recommended dose of Lactocare is 1 sachets per day. It can be recommended up to 6 sachets per day depending on the severity of condition, to be continued for 1 week after the symptoms subside.
In co-prescription with antibiotic administer 1 sachets 2-3 hours before or after the administration of antibiotic to be continued at least by 1 week after the antibiotic therapy. In antibiotic associated diarrhoea administer 1 sachet 2-3 hours before or after the administration of antibiotic therapy.
In traveler’s diarrhoea, to be continued by 1 week pre and post travel. Lactocare can be recommended at and above the age of 3 months. Lactocare, contains minimum of 6 billion (6.0 x 109) viable bacterial cells per gram time of release.
Contraindication: There is no specific contraindication for Lactocare.
Drug Interaction: There is no specific drug interaction with Lactocare.
Safety and Side Effects: Lactocare is well tolerated. It contains three strains of friendly bacteria. They colonize in the intestinal tract and do not enter into systemic circulation. In clinical studies, no noticeable side effects have been observed, which is assumed as Lactocare” related.
Storage Condition: Protect from moisture, freezing excessive heat and sunlight. Keep out of the reach of children.
