Panadol Forte

Panadol Forte Suspension (Paracetamol) is 90ml syrup that gently soothes pain and lowers the temperature. It is in pineapple flavor.

Package contains: 1 pack of panadol forte suspension contains 90ml syrup.

Composition/Formulation:

Each 5ml contains: Paracetamol BP 250mg

Excipients: Glycerin BP/USP, Sorbitol Solution, Avicel, Sugar (Sucrose), Methyl Paraben BP, Polysorbate Monooleate, Pineapple Flavour, Tartrazine Yellow and Purified Water.

Dosage and administration:

For children 6-12 years:

Dose may be chosen based on weight or age; use weight if you know it, otherwise use age.

Maximum daily dose: 60mg/kg presented in divided doses of 10-15mg/kg throughout 24 hours period. No more than 4 doses in any 24 hours period.

Minimum dosing interval: 4 hours.

Maximum duration of continued use without medical advice: 3 days.

If symptoms persist consult your doctor. Do not use with other products containing paracetamol. Do not exceed the stated dose.

Indications: It is indicated for relieving fever and pain after vaccination. Also indicated for the treatment of mild-moderate pain including headache, sore throat, toothache, pain after dental procedure/tooth extraction.

Contraindications: It is contraindicated in hypersensitive patients.

Adverse effects: Adverse effects of paracetamol are rare and are thrombocytopenia, anaphylaxis, cutaneous hypersensitivity, skin rashes, angioedema, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, and rarely bronchospasm.

It’s overdose can cause hepatic dysfunction.

Precautions: Do not use if seal on bottle is damaged.

Pharmaceutical Recommendations: Shake well before use. Store below 30°C. Protect from light. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children. For oral use only.
