Prostam (Tamsulosin HCl) capsule is an alpha 1-adrenergic blocking agent exhibiting selectivity for alpha 1 receptors in the human prostate. Relaxation of smooth muscle in the bladder neck and prostate produced by alpha 1-adrenergic blockade results in an improvement in urine flow rate and a reduction in symptoms of BPH.

Uses & Indications: This medication is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). LUTS (Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms) associated with BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia).
